Hives: how domains become accounts

Updated Aug 2026 · 4 min read

Every business email carries its company on its sleeve. BeeNPS groups bees by that domain, names the hive after it, and keeps one score per hive from then on.

Merging and splitting

Companies are messy: acme-corp.com and acmecorp.io might be one customer; eu.oracle.com might deserve its own CSM and its own score. The import review queue suggests merges and splits with evidence — you decide with one click, and history moves with the bees.

Seats power the math

A hive's coverage target depends on how many people it has. Import your book of business (domain, seats, CSM owner) or push seat counts via the REST API, and every hive knows how many voices it needs before its score is trustworthy.

Personal inboxes never form hives — 38 gmail respondents are 38 individuals, not a company called Gmail.
